Award-winning author

I was raised in Braintree, Massachusetts, but somehow found my way to the breathtaking elevation of Leadville, Colorado after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1983 and serving for several years in the Army...and then raising two sons...and then teaching English in the public school system. Leadville is where I've become an award-winning author.

I established the Leadville Literary League as a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote local literary endeavors and the arts, and my most recent philanthropic project is the creation of the 2018 Calendar Girls of Leadville to support the historic Tabor Opera House.

I blog about life, real and imagined, at and I love speaking to enthusiastic audiences!
